There are two different kind of statuses:

* Producer statuses: These statuses are linked with the producer or producer group. Only producers in the producer status “CB/PG Accepted” can maintain a valid certificate.

'''Producer status'''

Producer status is specified as „not confirmed“ or „registered“, which can only be set by the Trustee/Farm Assurer (role TusteeMasterdata) and „CB/PG Accepted“ or „cancelled“, which are linked with the certification bodies’ decision (role CB-Committee).

The following chart highlights the status flow between the producer status options.

As you see in the figure above the Trustee/Farm Assurer is mainly working on registration and de-registration of producers. Only the certification body is allowed to change the product status to "accepted", which is the trigger of the registration fee. As soon as the first product is accepted or re-accepted, the registration fee must be collected by the Trustee/Farm Assurer.

Consider that certification bodies are normally having both roles: Trustee/Farm Assurer (database role TrusteeMasterdata) and certification body (database role CB-Committee).

5.1.1. Producer status: Not confirmed

Producer status “not confirmed” is set by online notification of companies in the database. There is already a link with the Trustee/Farm Assurer via RF-Key, but the Trustee/Farm Assurer has not confirmed this link yet. Please, consider that this status must be set to “registered” in order to continue the certification process.

The main purpose of this producer status is to give producers or producer groups the opportunity to register themselves. If further actions do not follow, this status automatically ends after 12 months and the producer is set to the status „annulled“ (there is no link with the Trustee/Farm Assurer anymore). To link in an annulled producer or producer group into the system to a Trustee/Farm Assurer, this company must be notified again.

5.1.2. Producer status: Registered

The producer status “Registered” is the confirmed notification of a producer in the database. This status is set by a Trustee/Farm Assurer, who will be invoiced the registration fee by FoodPLUS after the product acceptance.

If the producer or producer group do not continue with certification (for any reason), the GGN stays “Registered”. A Trustee/Farm Assurer must de-register the GGN manually, consequently the GGN is “Annulled”. However, any other Trustee/Farm Assurer can register the producer or producer group in the database.

5.1.3. Producer status: Annulled

If the GGN of a producer or producer group is “annulled”, there is no link with the Trustee/Farm Assurer anymore. This company is now free to register by a new Trustee/Farm Assurer as described above in 5.1.1. and 5.1.2.

5.1.4. Producer status: CB/PG Accepted

The producer status "CB/PG Accepted" is automatically set upon first product acceptance ( ) by a certification body and triggers a product cycle. If the product of this producer is not re-accepted and the product cycle has run out, the producer status changes to "Registered".

The product cycle starts on the date of acceptance and is valid for 12 months, but can be extended up to a maximum of 24 months, if the certification is done on the last day of this product cycle. The product cycle will be 24 months minus 1 day long. Re-acceptance is possible earliest 6 months after certificate cycle started.

* Product statuses: These statuses are linked with the product. This means that different product statuses for a producer or a producer group are possible (e. g. "Apples" certified and "Pears" accepted, but not certified yet). The producer or producer group may also get certified with different certification bodies or for different options (e. g. "Apples" as Option 2 and "Pears" as Option 1).
